Amid Ahed Tamimi Imprisonment, Two 16-Year-Old Palestinians Killed by Israel

PROTESTERS IN Gaza City begin stomping on posters depicting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US

The Israeli Supreme Court on 4 December 2017 issued an order nisi ("order to show cause") in a petition against the Settlement Regularization Law filed by Adalah - The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel, Jerusalem Legal Aid and Human Rights Center (JLAC), and Al Mezan Center for Human Rights (Gaza) on behalf of 17 local Palestinian authorities in the West Bank.

According to a statement, four people, including a first aid officer of the Red Crescent, were injured by the Israeli police. One Israeli has been killed in a Palestinian attack.

The statement comes three days after the Israeli Civil Administration adopted the plan to construct over 1,100 housing units in 20 West Bank settlements.

Two other Palestinians were injured and transferred to the Shuhada al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah along with Abu Musaed.

Tensions were already high ahead of Friday's protests after two 16-year-old Palestinians were killed in clashes with the IDF on Thursday.

On Dec. 19, Israeli forces detained Ahed in Nabi Saleh.

Her mother and another relative who took part in the incident have also been charged. In 2012, Istanbul's Basaksehir Municipality awarded her the Hanzala Courage Award for defying Israeli soldiers who had just arrested her brother.

The official stressed that the only way to achieve peace was through creating an independent Palestinian state on pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on worldwide terms of reference, and the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative, which Arab leaders adopted in their summit in Beirut.

Palestinians burn portraits of President Donald Trump, and the USA and Israeli flag during protest against Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital in Rafah the southern Gaza on Friday.
