Sinead O'Connor says she's 'safe' and 'not suicidal' after emotional video

"It should not be acceptable to any man who knows me and claims to love and care about me that I'm still sitting here after two years and I'm begging.to be brought home", she said through tears.

"She appears to be completely out on a limb and I'm concerned for her safety".

The musician, who lost her mother when she was just 19, said she hoped that opening up about her mental health problems would help others in similar situations.

She said: "Last year I did something. unforgivable because I was out of my mind".

But an unidentified person on the Irish singer's Facebook account later wrote that she "is safe, and she is not suicidal".

"Mental illness, it's like drugs, it doesn't give a s-t who you are, and equally what's worse, it's the stigma, it doesn't give a s-t who you are", said the singer, wearing her trademark buzzcut. She asked for this to be posted knowing you are concerned for her.

Sinead O'Connor has been hospitalized following her 12-minute breakdown video at a Travelodge motel in New Jersey, Radaronline.com can exclusively reveal.

"I saw that cry for help of Sinead O'Connor from a New Jersey motel where she said she had no one except a psychiatrist and a doctor". Thousands of fans expressed their concern after they saw O'Connor in a motel room talking about her family abandoning her in the wake of a mental illness.

"My officers went over (to the hotel) after receiving a call about a video and a woman in distress", Capt. Robert Kaiser, with the South Hackensack Police Department, told Radar Wednesday.

"I'm not going to die, I'm not going to die but still this is no way for people to be living", she said. "At that point she was gone and we never made direct contact with her". Fears were raised about her safety but she was found safe in the end.

"We heard that she has since been checked in to a hospital, and we have made periodic checks throughout since".

"I'm fighting, fighting, fighting, fighting... to stay alive".

In 2016, the singer - who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder more than a decade ago - revealed a successful stint in rehab helped her kick an addiction to marijuana.

O'Connor went on to state that she had been suffering from suicidal thoughts for the past two years but was determined on "staying alive", adding: "I am only one of millions and millions and millions of people who are just like me".
