Sean Spicer: Reporters Ask Snarky Questions at Briefings to 'Become YouTube Stars'

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer remained mum on his own fate in the administration Tuesday, refusing to deny that he would not be sticking around as President Trump's chief spokesman.

A former strategist on the Republican National Committee, Spicer is reportedly considering taking on a more strategic role in the Trump administration that would keep him off camera, according to the Associated Press.

Spicer replied that the White House press team has respect for what reporters do.

Spicer smiled during a question about the validity of the reports, saying, "I'm right here", as if to say clearly no immediate change had been made.

"It's probably upgraded at this point given that we don't have a communications director". Instead, deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders merely indicated in a statement: "We have sought input from many people as we look to expand our communications operation".

But there was at least one person who did not find Bannon's apparent joke to be amusing: Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton. "And both are excellent choices because when asked about the job by reporters, Ingraham declined to comment, and in a phone call, Martosko said 'I can't hear you, ' and then hung up".

A new round of stories started circulating that the White House was looking to replace Spicer. "I don't even know where we are in terms of a final plan".

"You're whole job is speaking for the administration", Colbert said. "Saturday Night Live" has poked fun at him mercilessly.

"I understand. I've seen the reports", Spicer said.

In recent weeks, the White House has taken to holding some press briefings off-camera, presumably in an effort to tamp down the media circus surrounding Donald Trump. The clip mocks Spicer's organizational skills, ability to speak clearly and attention to detail.

The press secretary said he didn't know whether Trump or anyone on his staff has read the Senate health care bill that GOP lawmakers are now drafting behind closed doors.
