Senior UK Cabinet ministers offer support to prime minister

DUP leader Arlene Foster

Although she did not comment on the rumors of loosening the ban on the march, DUP leader Arlene Foster said in a statement that her party would "be working to agree arrangements that can provide the whole nation with good government".

Had Corbyn won, there would have been no guarantee of a successful Brexit, not least because the Labour leadership had fiercely opposed Britain leaving the European Union ahead of the UK's 2016 referendum on EU membership.

A stream of senior lawmakers entered May's No. 10 Downing St. office Sunday afternoon to learn what roles they had been given in the government. But the prime minister's power is severely circumscribed as her cabinet takes control of government policy. Gove, a backer of Britain's exit from the European Union, was appointed environment secretary.

Mr Adams was speaking following remarks by An Taoiseach Enda Kenny following his conversation with British Prime Minister Theresa May.

"The idea that the United Kingdom led by this prime minister and this government can just blunder into negotiations starting one week today, I just don't think it's a credible proposition", she told reporters in London.

But rumors swirled of plots to oust May. However, the Labour leader will need to get support from Theresa May's own party if he wants to get enough backing for his plan.

Johnson tweeted that an article in the Mail on Sunday newspaper headlined "Boris set to launch bid to be PM as May clings on" was "tripe".

A contrite May took responsibility for losing her party's majority; 'I've got us into the mess and I will get us out of it.' She also promised to help those who had lost their seats and said sorry a few times. The Labor Party surpassed expectations by winning 262.

The Prime Minister has told Conservative backbenchers she will get them "out of this mess" after the party saw their majority wiped out at the General Election.

A "shaken" Prime Minister is said to have arrived at the campaign headquarters in London at 4:30am.

"It is our job to get on with running the country".

He told Sky News: "It's in the week of next week, basically, the first discussions".

Yes they could. A vote of no confidence in her leadership will be triggered if 48 MPs write to Graham Brady, the chairman of the backbench 1922 Committee, to request it.

Ms Davidson said: "We do have to make sure that we invite other people in now".

"Overall, we believe that the election outcome will hamper Brexit negotiations and increase fiscal risks, and therefore be negative for the U.K.'s credit profile", Moody's said in a statement.

Some say her failure means the government must now take a more flexible approach to the divorce, potentially softening the exit terms.

While the prospects of an immediate challenge to Mrs May were played down yesterday, Conservatives lined up to make it clear her time as party leader will be limited.

To stay in power, the Conservatives are seeking support from Northern Ireland's Democratic Unionist Party. If there is a vote of no confidence, all parties are given 14 days to form another government.

Now the Queen's Speech could be delayed from next Monday, as cobbling together a deal to be propped up by the ultra-socially conservative Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) is proving more hard than originally thought.

Theresa May says not to worry about DUP views on 'LGB.what's the rest of it?'

"The pro-unionist and partisan nature of this British government has contributed directly to the current deep political crisis in the North", he said in a statement.

The prime minister's official spokesman declined to confirm that the speech would happen on June 19 as previously announced, raising speculation that continued wrangling between the Conservatives and the DUP on policy issues would delay the speech.

The two parties are still trying to thrash out a pact and next week's proposed Queen's Speech has reportedly been delayed in order to give them more time to do this.

Northern Ireland Secretary James Brokenshire said the Queen's Speech "remains on track". "This is still on".
